August 2000 The owners of Shubeilat Badran Associates (SBA), Laith Shubeilat and Rasem Badran, have taken on the new name of Dar al-Omran (house of building) for the firm. The Aqaba Regional Authority invited tenders for the development and management of the Royal Diving Center in Aqaba. Tenderers were required to include in their bids financial, managerial, and architectural studies for their proposed solutions for developing and managing the center. The project, which is located in a 20,000 square meter site, includes among its facilities hotel rooms, pools, and a restaurant. Tender opening will take place in October 2000.
