Where to buy: The publications of the Book Corner can be purchased directly from the CSBE offices, which are located at 6 ‘Umar bin al-Khattab Street in the 1st Circle area of Jabal Amman (telephone: (962 6) 461 5297), anytime between 9 AM and 2 PM, Sunday through Thursday.  Of course, all books also can be bought directly from their publishers.

Mail orders: The publications featured in the Book Corner may be shipped to destinations outside Jordan.  A postage and handling charge will be added to mail orders, and shipping costs will depend on the choice of shipping method and the destination, as detailed below: 

Registered International Shipping

Delivery time: 10 – 15 business days from receipt of payment

Priority International Courier

Delivery time: 2 business days from receipt of payment

Shipping charges are calculated as follows:

(5 US$ per order) + (first item postage charge) + (number of additional items x postage charge per additional item) = total shipping charge

Thus, the payment due would be calculated as follows:

(Sum of prices for the purchased items) + (total shipping charge) = payment due

Please notice that any import duties or taxes imposed by the customs authorities of your country must be borne by you.  Also, note that the shipped items may be subject to inspection by your customs authorities.

Methods of payment for mail orders: Currently, we accept checks or bank transfers as payments for orders. Arrangements also are being made to allow for secure online credit card purchases.

Payment can be made by a check or bank transfer in US$ drawn on a US bank. Please contact CSBE at books@csbe.org to submit your order, confirm your payment, and get the detailed banking information needed to complete your payment.

Taxes:  A sales tax in the amount of 4% of sales price will be added to the sales price of any item sold in Jordan.

Discounts:  The publications of the Book Corner are sold to Friends of CSBE at a discount of 10 – 20%, depending on the specific publication.
