Construction began on El-Gushi Spa in Missrate, Libya.  The 56,000 square meter resort complex was designed by Shubeilat Badran Associates (SBA) Architects and Consulting Engineers for the Libyan al-Manaba Company for Touristic Services. The project is expected to cost 30 million JD (42 million $US).

Construction was begun on the Madaba Mosque in the city of Madaba.  The 2,500 square meter mosque for the Ministry of Awqaf was designed by GDAR Group, which had won a competition for the design of the mosque in 1998.  The project is expected to cost 1 million JD (1.4 million $US).
