Citibank
commissioned the office of Rukn
al-Handasa to renovate an existing building it has
acquired to serve as its new headquarters in Amman. The 1,900
square meter structure, which is located in Amman's banking
district of Shmeisani, was originally designed by Shubeilat
Bardan Associates (SBA)
Architects and Consulting Engineers.
The renovation work has caused some controversy since
it significantly modifies the original SBA structure, which
was completed in 1998. |
