November 2001
The Amman office of the Saudi Arabia-based consulting firm Omrania and Associates, in a joint venture with Almarsam Architects and Engineers, were commissioned to design the refurbishment of a preexisting building that will serve as the new Australian Embassy in Amman. The 2,000 square-meter project is expected to cost about 100,000 JD (around 140,000 $US).

Bitar Consultants were commissioned to design primary healthcare clinic renovations for twenty healthcare centers located throughout Jordan. The 840,000 JD (around 1.2 million $US) project is part of the Primary Health Care Initiatives (PHCI) program that USAID (United States Agency for International Development) is funding to improve healthcare resources in Jordan. The selection of these health centers was based on the outcome of a study that CDG (the Community Development Group Engineering and Management Associates) carried out in association with the Cambridge, Massachusetts-based policy research firm Abt Associates.
